YA Book Club
Books | Films | Food | Authors | Workshops
Paper Bird hosts an exciting YA Book Club for young people aged 14-17, hooking in with authors, films, workshops, and other great YA events.
We feature a different book each month. The club meets on the second last Friday of every month at the Upmarket in Fremantle (across from the Markets) to meet & chat! Meetings run in the afternoons. Sessions times differ depending on what’s on, but we will usually start at around 4:30pm. You can check out upcoming session times in the events section below.
Our Book Club is run session by session. Tickets are $30 for the month, which includes your book and our monthly meet up!
We’ve got some exciting books already lined up for Term 2, and some fantastic author meets, including A. J. Betts & Holden Sheppard!
If you’d like more information about YA Club, please fill out the form below & we’ll be in touch. If you’re keen on heading to one of our events, please purchase your tickets below.

For our April Club, we’re reading All the Girls I’ve Been by Tess Sharpe. We’ll be meeting to chat about this on Friday the 23rd of April, from 4:30 – 5:30pm. If you’d like to come along to this session, please purchase a Session Pass (link below). This includes your book & meet for the month.
We’ll also be watching Dating Amber @ the Somerville, UWA, on Thursday the 1st of April. Tickets are available through the Somerville link below. Grab your ticket and send us an email to RSVP! We’ll arrive early to grab seats, so make sure you let us know if you’re coming. You’re welcome to bring a picnic or buy food there! Please arrive at 6:30 to get settled before the movie starts at 7:30pm. If you’d just like to attend this session, there is no need to buy a Book Club session pass as well – just your movie ticket.
