Occupational Therapist
Kylie is our children’s yoga teacher! Kylie is an Occupational Therapist who has spent the past 10 years immersed in supporting children of all ages and with a range of complex needs to learn and develop through play. Kylie has a special interest in children’s social and emotional wellbeing which has led her to pursue further qualifications including a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Sciences (Parent and Infant Mental Health) through the University of Melbourne and training in Child Centred Play Therapy and Filial Therapy.
With a personal passion for all things yoga, mindfulness and self-care, Kylie undertook her training as a children’s yoga teacher with YogaEd in 2018. As “The Playful Yogi”, Kylie is now offering classes and specialised workshops using yoga and mindfulness as a tool for self-regulation. With her understanding of the impact of stress on the developing brain, Kylie is keen to connect children with sensations in their body, their thoughts, emotions and movement to support full hearts, clear minds and strong bodies. Kylie’s classes include breath work, yoga, partner work and movement games, creative arts and guided relaxation.
